FIGHT AGAINST FENTANYL
California Deserves Better intends to make California a better place to live for all Californians. OnePillKills is about taking the fight to protect our children from fentanyl to the voters because the California Legislature, twice, failed to pass SB 350 (Melendez). If our legislature wont fight for the victims of fentanyl poisoning then California Deserves Better will.
In January 2022, and again in March 2021, SB 350 (Melendez) was rejected by the Senate Public Safety Committee. Known as “Alexandra’s Law,” SB 350 would provide that upon the entering of a plea or after sentencing a convicted drug dealer be advised in writing that their actions can kill and they may be held criminally liable for any deaths caused by their manufacturing or sales of fentanyl and other specified controlled substances.
